Share | Last week I`s in Hong Kong to contribute to my fourth event in Asia, ‘ Reputational Risk Management in the Financial Sector ‘ (Hong Kong, 19-21 Jan 2011). I delivered an interactive half-day workshop & the 45mn presentation, & I contributed to the lively discussion panel. The audience`s proved to B extremely interested in the topic of social media & online reputation & I`s pleasantly surprised by the high volume of questions. I’d like to thank all the delegates & the workshop participants again for the excellent feedback. The situation improved dramatically in the last couple of years, & even though the Asian Finance industry (banking, financial services, insurance) still`s quite the bit of catch up to do compared to North America or Western Europe, the appetite 4 social media`s definitely there & I’m confident we’ll C some traction in the region this year. Key Goals & Challenges of e-Reputation Dur`g the event I shared my vision & my thoughts on the fashionable e-reputation phenomenon. Please find below some of my key messages: * yes, it`s important to know what’s be`g said about your brand online. * although (unless) your challenge`s not to flag all the mentions of your brand, your products & services, or your competitors…

Share | Since I have created my Visible Bank`g page on facebook, I’ve always tried to find the best way to REWARD my fans, or`ll I say now ”the community of facebook users who like my page”: from the get go, I made sure to post most of my recent video interviews or video reviews on facebook 1st (and only the few days or weeks later on dailymotion or youtube ). Please note Z my new videos (comments & interviews) are available on the VB page first. Indeed I believe there`s limited value us`g the facebook page as the mere carbon copy of one’s twitter account or blog. I also don’t want noise on my blog and limitate the number of short frequent posts with my initial comments & reactions on new social media initiatives. This`s the reason why I started to post short wall posts on regular basis. I invite facebook users interested in social media in banking, financial services & insurance , to like my page to keep track of my updates. Once in the while, I`ll also publish the post list`g my recent comments on facebook in my new Visible Bank`g Facebook Flash series. I hope you`ll enjoy read`g those posts. Please do not hesitate to share your feedback & help me improve the format of this new series
