Share | In the last 2 years the Spanish bank`g industry as the whole`s`en 1 the most active in the social media space worldwide: from the leading global banks like BBVA, domestic banks like Banco Sabadell, or regional sav`g banks like Caja Navarra or Caja Madrid.    Let’s focus on the sav`g banks here, ‘the Cajas’ : “In Spain, savings banks or cajas R private financial institutions organized as foundations. When they were 1st created, their main identify`g features were their concern 4 saving, focus on the poorer classes, concentration in the geographical area, & allocation of the significant part of their profits to social & charity projects.” ( source: wikipedia) The Spanish Cajas: the Champions of Social Projects & Social Media Spanish Cajas R legally obliged to take part to social activities & charitable work. As you`ld expect, they put the lot of focus on their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) effort. Most of them quickly understood the importance & the value to leverage social media to give more visibility to their initiative & build long term relationship w/ all the persons actively involved or interested. Caja Navarra achieved ‘worldwide fame’ when they launched their Civic Bank`g strategy based on transparency & customer engagement, Caja Madrid`s very active online w/ their Obra Social communities.   Caja Mediterraneo Taps into Foursquare to Increase & Reward Visits On December 31st Gerardo Prieto , Community Manager @ Caja Mediterráneo , contacted me to inform me of the initiative on Foursquare the bank launched last month. Basically the bank aims to drive the number & frequency of visits to their social centers up by reward`g the most frequent visitors, & foursquare users, 4 those visits.

VB Facebook Flash #5 – CEOs & Content Strategy on Twitter, Societe Generale’s Citizen Act Smart Registration, Egg’s Low Key SM Contest, and…

Share | Since I have created my Visible Bank`g page on facebook, I’ve always tried to find the best way to REWARD my fans, or`ll I say now ”the community of facebook users who like my page”: from the get go, I made sure to post most of my recent video interviews or video reviews on facebook 1st (and only the few days or weeks later  on dailymotion  or youtube ). Please note Z my new videos (comments & interviews)  are available on the VB page first.   Indeed I believe there`s limited value us`g the facebook page as the mere carbon copy of one’s twitter account or blog. I also don’t want noise on  my blog  and limitate the number of short frequent posts with my initial comments & reactions on new social media initiatives.   This`s the reason why I started to post short wall posts on regular basis. I invite facebook users interested in social media in banking, financial services & insurance , to like my page to keep track of my updates. Once in the while, I`ll also publish the post list`g my recent comments on facebook in my new  Visible Bank`g Facebook Flash series. I hope you`ll enjoy read`g those posts.    Please do not hesitate to share your feedback & help me improve the format of this new series
